Kanmangafuchi abyss
30 minutes
Nantai and the clear waters of the Oya River are woven together to form a natural beauty.
On the riverbank, there is a huge rock on which a stone statue of Fudo Myoo, built by Buddhist priest Koukai Sojo, is enshrined.
On the south bank of the river, there is a group of about 70 Jizo statues called "Bake Jizo," which are said to be different in number each time they are counted, and on the cliff upstream, there is a legend that Kobo Daishi threw a brush and carved the word "Kanman," which is called Kobo Daishi's throw.
